CALL TO WORSHIP

Your hand is upon your people, O God, to guide and protect them through the ages.

All: Keep in your service those you have called and anointed, that the powers of this world may not overwhelm us, but that, secure in your love, we may carry out your will in the face of all adversity.

O God our ruler and shepherd, you anointed Jesus as the king and servant of your people.

All: Make us attentive to your word, that we may accept your reign over us and serve you alone. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

Holy, holy, holy God, in calling forth creation from the void,
revealing yourself in human flesh, and pouring forth your wisdom to guide us, you manifest your concern for your whole universe.
All: You invite us, as your people, to gather the world's needs into our hearts and bring them before you.
Prayers of the People, concluding with:
Holy, holy, holy God, fill us with strength and courage, with discernment and compassion, that we may be your instruments of justice and love in this world, that it may be on earth as it is in heaven. Just as Jesus taught us to pray…LORD’S PRAYER8

CALL TO WORSHIP

Creator God, you call us to love and serve you with body, mind, and spirit through loving your creation and our sisters and brothers.

All: Open our hearts in compassion and receive these petitions on behalf of the needs of the church and the world.

Holy One, hear our prayers and make us faithful stewards of the fragile bounty of this earth so that we may be entrusted with the riches of heaven. As promised by Your Son, Who taught us to pray…LORD’S PRAYER
