CALL TO WORSHIP

Hosanna! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord!
All: Hosanna! Rejoice for the Lord is in our midst.
He comes with joy and hope.
All: He comes to set us free from fear.
Hosanna!
All: Hosanna! Glory to God in the Highest Heaven.

The journey has been long and sometimes very difficult.
All: During this Lenten journey we have seen miracles and mysteries.
Now the Lord comes to us in victory.
All: Jesus rides into Jerusalem and into our hearts.
Blessed is the One who comes in the Lord’s Name!
All: Hosanna in the highest! AMEN.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

Caught between joy and despair, we yearn for the fulfillment of God's desire beyond the brokenness and neediness of this life.

All: We offer thanksgiving for God's presence with us and petitions for the transformation of the church and the world.

Prayers of the People, concluding with:

Life-giver, Pain-bearer, Love-maker, day by day you sustain the weary with your word and gently encourage us to place our trust in you. Awaken us to the suffering of those around us; save us from hiding in denials or taunts  that deepen the hurt; give us grace to share one another's burdens in humble service.
