CALL TO WORSHIP
God has called us to this place of peace and quiet.
All: We come, eager for rest and hope.
The Lord is always with us, offering us refreshment for our souls.
All: Let us partake of this wondrous gift.
It is the gift of the Lord’s love for us. Come and rest.
All: Praise God for the absolute compassion of God’s love.
O God, sustain us in the complexity of our humanity as you sustained David–
All: playing the harp of youth, throwing stones at giant problems, loving our friends beyond wisdom, dancing worship, mourning children, breaking our hearts in psalms, and longing for warmth in our old bones. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Loving God, open our ears to hear your word and draw us closer to you,
that the whole world may be one with you as you are one with us in Jesus All: Christ our Lord. God of mercy and healing, you who hear the cries of those in need, receive these petitions of your people that all who are troubled may know peace, comfort, and courage.
Prayers of the People
Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation
through Jesus Christ our Lord, the One who taught us to pray…
